The TPT Iron shaft uses the Hybrid design. One of the major issues in iron fitting today is to get the long irons to fly high enough without compromising the feel of the overall set. The idea is to create the same frequency and the same effective torque throughout the set. Using the unique design capabilities of TPT we can accomplish this. Our shafts have been able to surpass the consistency of steel. This provides a new level of accuracy and playability for the irons. Players can now choose long irons over Hybrids. You will find decreased dispersion patterns side to side and long to short. The Lo/Hi in each series is designed only to launch different, while keeping the torque and the weight exactly the same. This provides the capability to maintain the weight, flex and torque if using a HI in the longer irons is desired. You can also choose to tip the shorter irons up to 1" while not tipping the longer ones.

TPT stands for Thin Ply Technology

This is an advanced method for creating ultra-thin graphite fiber plies.

Originally developed for elite sail racing, aerospace and motorsport, Thin Ply is twice as thin as traditional graphite, allowing for a more homogeneous structure—like sharpening a picture’s resolution.

Why Should Golfers Care About Thin Ply?

With Thin Ply, golfers experience immediate feedback and improved club head awareness.

This boosts their confidence to swing with maximum power, while the shaft does the work to maintain consistency of strike location.

Why TPT’s Automated Process Is a Game-Changer?

It eliminates shaft spine, resulting in a more stable and consistent performance.

Thanks to its low torque design, golfers can confidently play with softer shafts, gaining both enhanced control and improved distance.

The Power Range Iron shafts are .370 parallel tips. They can be tapered if you wish.

  • The TPT Power Range Irons are designed to be put straight in and butt trimmed to fit
each iron. We are aware this is different than any other iron shafts. The fact is we
tested this method, and it worked. The results were so good we wanted to bring
    them to the market.
  • If you wish they can be tip trimmed up to 1”
  • It is okay to mix and match if you as a fitter believe it is necessary. For example, a set of 16 series irons could have the 16Lo in the 6-PW irons and the 16Hi in the 3-5
irons. Although I have not made or heard of a set being made that used 2 different
series mixed like 14s in the low and mid irons and the 16s in the long irons I could
see this working in some cases.

  • Will TPT release a .355 tapered tip version of their iron shaft?

Hello, currently these shafts are only offered in .370 parallel tip.  They can be installed into .355 size heads by reaming out the hosel using a .370 size reamer which can be found here on our website:

  • Ryan, I have TPT in my driver, have not missed a fairway in a month. Do you have any experience with TPT in irons. And assume the 18 Hi is like a senior flex. Thanks

Hey Bruce, The TPT are great shafts all around. We were speaking to a club fitter at this years' PGA Show and he says he fits almost every player now into the TPT iron shafts since they are hard to beat.  AS with any shaft, the performance will very from player to player, however the technology and performance of the TPT shafts are excellent.
